Similar to ESG and related scoring, YB utilizes quantitative indicators for SDG alignment, mapping, for example, companies to SDG 13 – Climate Action that have high percentages relative to the industry in renewable energy use. We believe this is the best approach because when we say a company is aligned you do not have to take our word for it, you can look up exactly which indicators it scored well on and why it was mapped to that SDG. Transparency has to be crucial when we are talking about sustainable development.
